Meet the CEO:

Laura Williams, a native of Los Angeles, is a passionate advocate and community leader dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. With a Doctorate Degree in Education from American International Theism University, Eaglewood , Florida, Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, Laura also earned her undergraduate degree from Prairie View A&M University, laying the educational foundation for her commitment to social change.

As the founder of "Just Who I Am, Inc.," a non-profit organization, Laura channels her expertise and compassion into a mission to restore the lives of those impacted by the foster care system. Her vision and leadership have manifested in the establishment of the first youth center in the 9th District in 2024, a significant milestone achieved under the esteemed leadership of Councilmember Curren Price.

Laura Williams draws inspiration from her familial roots and proudly identifies as the daughter of Dr. R. A. Williams and Debra Williams. She actively contributes to her community not only through her non-profit work but also by serving as the Sunday school superintendent at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, where her father, Dr. Williams, serves as the pastor.
